Like A Bad After School Special

I saw this, from the actual scene I am referring to. But
they did spell her name wrong.)


Do you remember that episode of Saved By The Bell where Jessie experiments with drugs? (And by experiments with drugs I mean took a couple of energy pills to stay awake) And Zack finally confronts her in her bedroom and she gets all manic and starts yelling "NO TIME!! THERE'S NEVER ANY TIME!! I DON'T HAVE TIME TO EAT, I DON'T HAVE TIME TO SLEEP..." and then she starts singing "I'm So Excited"? Remember that? No? Just me? Huh. Weird.

Anywho, I can really relate to poor Jessie right now. Not with the whole drug experimenting, but with the lack of time. This is how I feel. It has become my number one issue in life right now. (Because there is always one.) I swear the days are getting shorter, just to spite me. So short, in fact, that I don't even have time to blog. Yeah, I just said that.

This is so not cool. When there's no time for blogging, you know something's wrong in the world. I mean, we never have enough time to clean the house, or make dinner, or play with our kids, but blogging? I always make time for blogging.

So what, you ask, has me so busy? This, I answer:

Yeah, I have no idea what keeps me so busy. I go go go all day and at the end of the day I have no idea what to tell my husband that I got done that day. It's enough to make me want to cry. But I don't, because apparently that gene does not get passed along in my family.

The saddest thing is, I haven't even started my new job yet. If I had started, I could say, "Oh, I'm so busy working." But no. I'm busy just doing...stuff.

I wonder if Jessie will loan me some of her "energy pills."

I totally remember this episode! I know how you feel. I spend all day totally busy. Doing what? Keeping my house from falling apart. I was sick all weekend, and yeah, everything fell apart. Nothing got cleaned, no dishes were done, no one has any clean clothes, etc. So yes, a good day for me is not what I get done, but what I keep from being UNdone!

p.s. I hope you know I was joking about the groundhog thing. I'm weird, but not THAT weird. :)

So sorry to say I actually do remember that episode. :-) Too bad all we need energy pills for is to be able to do another load of laundry, not try to get into the best college and study more. :-)

Actually, Shayla, I'm sad to say she was trying to do a workout/dance video with Kelly and Lisa to break into modeling. Did I just embarrass myself by revealing that I know that?

Staying with the theme of after school specials and highschool, I want you to know that I am staying up past my curfew to leave you this comment. That's how out of control my life is, I'm now setting a curfew. Ridiculous, but necessary.

I don't actually remember this episode, but instead I lived it. My parents totally asked me if I was on drugs when they caught me taking No Doze in high school. I totally freaked out and started bawling. To this day I still get made fun of for it, and still get defensive. Now I just drink my caffeine.

It must be some kind of epidemic because I felt exhausted and overwhelmed by the end of my day today and have nothing that I can cross off on my 'Done' list. I really don't think I did much of anything. I do have high hopes for tomorrow though.

I remember that episode! Ben remembers ridiculous amounts of things from Saved By The Bell. We were watching a show recently (or maybe it was a commercial) and he was trying to figure out where he recognized someone from and then he says "She was on an episode of Saved By The Bell!" I was like, "You remember her from like 15 years ago!?" I guess we should have you over and the two of you can reminisce about all the good times had at Bayside. I guess I'll probably stay out of the conversation because I had to look that up.

Not only do I remember that scene in the episode, I remember some of the words to the song from the video they were making, and then you know, performing at The Max.

I haven't been feeling so busy, but that fact that I am doing zero to prepare for the up coming change in my life, I know it is about to catch up with me fast. But in the mean time, I think I will keep napping and watching HGTV around the clock.

Hopefully time will slow down soon, or at least when it is lighter longer ans a little warmer, it will seem more bearable.

Okay, so funny because that episode is a running joke in our house! We always saying that---"Never enough time"---all dramatic like Jessie too!

I feel you though. It's crazy how life gets so busy and then when people ask you what you've been doing, it's hard to even put it in words!

Yeah, I remember that episode. I watched Saved by the Bell religiously as a kid. Now I don't have time to do anything. But like you, some days I can't remember when I am laying in bed at night what I did all day long.

Alissa- You are going to laugh, but I totally know what commercial you are talking about because I immediately shouted, "That's Tori from Saved by the Bell!" I didn't even have to think about where I'd seen her before, and I remembered her name. So funny.

Um,..I totally remember this episode! I remember I would come home everyday after school and watch California Dreams, Save by the Bell, then Family Matters...now I see the reruns sometimes on Nick at Nite and it makes me feel so old!

Good luck trying to fit everything in Alicia, I hate that feeling where it seems like I have done so much, but when Marcus comes home I feel like I haven't done anything!

The real question is who DIDN'T watch Saved By The Bell??? Come on, you know you did.

That episode is classic.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. It stinks, but keep trudging along. You'll get there. Hopefully I will too!

I saw that picture and immediately knew what episode it was without having to see the text. I am a die-gard SBTB fan.

I find that there are times in my life where I have to shift focus to something or another and then I can return back to a more balanced schedule. It seems like there are ebbs and flows to everything, even blogging.

I thought I was a die hard Saved by The Bell fan. Yet I honestly do not remember this episode. Where do I go wrong???
I completly agree with you on the busy but with busy what stuff. Sometimes it will completly overwhelm me.

Oh my gosh, that episode was hilarious! But your predicament is not. I so hear you. That is how I feel ALL day, every day. And it will never end! But I just think to myself: It'll only get busier, so I might as well accept it"
I have to repeat that to myself about 267 times a day.

dude that was like my favorite episode...finally some drama, i was on the edge of my green and maroon plaid sofa that whole scene. too bad she went all stripperish from there, i would have thought that after that she would've gone places, you know?

see my problem right now is that i'm not doing anything ALL day! the computer has been sucking quite a bit of time out of my day. but today is the day that all that changes...just after i check my facebook. ;)

Alicia, we still imitate that scene and by we I mean, me Tara, and Marcus. But you stopped just before we normally do.."Im so excited, I'm so excited,...I'm so....Scared!" I can't beleive how much Saved by the Bell influenced us kids.

Best Saved by the Bell episode ever! I'm so excited! I'm so excited...I'm....so...exci.....(cue crying) LOVE IT!

I've been feeling the same way lately. There is not enough time in the day, and I feel so behind on EVERYTHING!
