I Finally Did It!

So it only took me 7 months, but I finally completed my first Jessica Sprague lesson, and as a result my first digital layout! Thanks to the recent acquisition of my Grandma's computer (which is at least five years newer than our dinosaur and actually works) I am finally able to use Adobe and take my classes that my sweet husband gifted me last March. Any of you who have taken the Up & Running class will recognize this layout, but for this novice digiscrapper, I'm pretty excited about it. Not to mention the fact that I already took some creative liberties and "made it my own." Fellow Jessica Sprague students, can you spot the difference? Non fellow Jessica Sprague students, what do you think?

It looks great!

Can I just say that I think it is hilarious that your GRANDMA'S computer is 5 years older than yours? My grandma is still using dial-up and aol! lol

p.s. I hope you don't have aol, otherwise sorry, and please disregard previous comment...

Hey, my grandma is hip. I mean, she has a fake hip, after her hip surgery.
And no, I would eat rocks before I had dial up, or AOL

I love the page and especially the poem. Love it!

I just noticed you have 23 followers... I may just have to follow you so you can have 24. 23 = crap, 24 = near perfection. (24 is one of my favorite numbers, it is divisible by so many things AND my bday is on the 24th so that makes it extra special. And yes, I know I'm a nerd saying "divisible" in a comment, whatever.)

I think it looks great. I love the simplicity of digi-scrapping. It doesn't have that overdone look that old-fashioned scrapbooking can sometimes have.

P.S. I hear people knock AOL all the time and I don't get it...what's wrong with AOL? I have used it for years and I love it. My girls have yahoo accounts and I can't stand it, and I have tried g-mail and I don't really like it either. So I'm just wondering if you guys know something about AOL that I don't???

Oh Alicia, I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. When I completed my first project (it had to do with photo-frames)during a class with Jessica Sprague, I was just sooooooo proud of myself and I thought, why did I wait sooooooo long to start a class….ever since then I play around with my photos and thank Amy every time for her tip to take the class.
I love your layout it looks really cool.
